For your consideration… Join Dartmouth Alumni in Entertainment & Media Association (DAEMA) in celebrating the Oscars. Get ready for the big awards show of the year: it’s our sixth annual Oscars Viewing Party and we’re rolling out the red carpet for you! We had so much fun dressing up and watching the show together last year, we’re looking forward to more of the fun this year at a new venue. We’re heading to the Glendon in Westwood and in addition to the standard flat screens, we are bringing in a special projector and screen for you. This year we are hosting entertainment professionals including actors, directors, executives, attorneys, agents, managers, writers, and producers from Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Columbia, and Penn. And we invite you to participate in an Oscar-winner prediction ballot game with your chance to win FREE prizes. Enjoy a cash bar and restaurant with drink specials.
We’ll also cheer on IVY nominations at the Oscars, including:
- Meryl Streep (Yale/Dartmouth), Actress, The Iron Lady
- Alexander Payne (Stanford), Writer/Director/Producer, The Descendents
Dress up (optional): blazer for guys, cocktail dress for ladies. Drink specials. Network like crazy during the commercial breaks!
Also, we’ve invited IVY Entertainment and Digital LA to increase your networking circles.
